On May 25, the elders of FBN convened and made an update to our COVID protocols. For the last several weeks, we have asked that everyone who enters and exits the building, and anyone who is in places where social distancing is impossible to wear a mask.
Given the most recent updated guidance from the CDC, the vastly improved numbers in Vigo County, and the vaccine made available to anyone who desires it, FBN is no longer asking people to wear masks into the building. This change is effective immediately.
If anyone prefers to still wear a mask, please feel the freedom to do so and know you have our full support in that decision. At this time, we will still leave the chairs more spaced out than we had them prior to the pandemic. This is a good time to reiterate that if you are sick, please stay home and take advantage of the live-stream option. The heart of deference to and caring for others is characteristic of the heart of Christ.
We thank God for His immense mercy, grace, and protection that He showed our congregation over the past 15 months, and invite you to join us in that. We have only arrived at this point because of His mercy. We also want to thank all of you who have been attending in-person for following the protocols that we had in place. The chances of having guidelines that everyone would agree with are zero percent, yet the people of FBN did an honorable job of adhering to what was requested of them, and for that we are grateful.
